Butchers, Bakers, Fishmongers, Delicatessens and Greengrocers, to name but a few, were once the backbone of British society and the beating heart of town centres up and down the country. Times do inevitably change and with the relentless rise of supermarkets, followed by online shopping and now discount stores, these old stalwarts of our society have vastly diminished in number over the years.
However, if you take the time to look, you can still be rewarded with a great selection of these independent retailers out there who take immense pride in offering quality products with knowledge, passion and service at the heart of what they do and our shop is no exception.
While we will never claim to be the best, we are confident you won’t often find our wide selection of produce elsewhere with the consistent quality to match. So come and give us a try!

Our premises in Bedale really couldn’t be easier to find! Check us out on the South side of the Market Place, sandwiched right between Cockburns Craft Butchers and the Co-op.
Well worth a visit, Bedale has a wonderful selection of other independent retailers, cafes and pubs to enjoy, while providing great access to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park to the West of the town.
