About our Sage
Fresh sage is a fragrant herb that actually belongs to the mint family! It is native to the Mediterranean region but is now grown in many parts of the world, so is readily available.
It has a strong, pungent aroma and a slightly bitter, earthy taste. It is commonly used in cooking to flavour meat, fish, and poultry dishes, as well as pasta, bread, and the Sunday lunch favourite – stuffing!
About the Farmer
We always try to get our fresh produce from local farmers, and by using those smaller scale, non-contract farms, it results in a better quality of products for our customers. If we have to adapt to the changing market conditions, we always ensure we use the regional farm network, pick the best quality produce and ensure a fair price is paid through the supply chain to support the British farming community.
