Native to South America, Passion Fruits are grown in tropical and subtropical climates around the world. The small, round fruit is from the perennial Passion Flower vine, of which there are many varieties, though there are two main types grown for consumption producing either a popular purple or yellow fruit.

The hard, inedible skin encases a delicious, sweet yet tangy centre filled with the vibrant seed of the plant which is great just scooped out and eaten on it’s own, juiced or added as a punchy flavouring to many drinks and desserts. It’s most famous use is perhaps the Pornstar Martini, though these little wrinkly delights don’t need alcohol to be enjoyed! Available all year round.
