Available all year from far-flung tropical climates, Green Avocados tend to be smoother skinned and slightly larger than the brown Hass Avocado, with their skin staying relatively green as the fruit ripens, though they can become a little mottled or spotty in the process. Their pale green flesh has a lower fat content and is typically firmer than the Hass Avocado, which makes them ideal for slicing/dicing as they will hold their shape better once ripened.
