About our Marrow
Marrow is a type of squash that is part of the same family as cucumbers and pumpkin. It is in fact a courgette that is left to mature! It has a cylindrical shape, with a smooth and glossy green skin. The flesh inside is soft and tender, with a mild and slightly sweet flavour that is perfect for a variety of dishes.
Marrow is a great source of vitamins A and C, as well as potassium and fibre. It is also low in calories, making it a great addition to a healthy diet.
Marrows are cultivated in Great Britain, so we don’t have to go far to source our marrows when they’re in season!
About the Farmer
We always try to get our fresh produce from local farmers, and by using those smaller scale, non-contract farms, it results in a better quality of products for our customers.
