About our Horseradish

Horseradish is a pungent and spicy root vegetable that has been used for centuries as a flavouring, a condiment, and a natural remedy. It is a member of the brassica family and is known for its strong, sharp taste and distinctive aroma.

One of the main benefits of horseradish is its high nutritional value. It is a good source of vitamins C and B6, as well as minerals such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium. We stock the British varieties during winter but it’s Mediterranean homeland means we can stock it nearly all-year round from other countries.

Typically found either in wasabi or as a condiment to roast beef lunches, it can be far more versatile and add a unique dimension to lots of dishes.

About the Farmer

We always try to get our fresh produce from local farmers, and by using those smaller scale, non-contract farms, it results in a better quality of products for our customers. If we have to adapt to the changing market conditions, we always ensure we use the regional farm network, pick the best quality produce and ensure a fair price is paid through the supply chain to support the British farming community.
